International Women’s Day 2023

8th Mar, 2023

International Women’s Day takes place on the 8th March annually to celebrate the achievements of women, to raise awareness against bias, stereotypes, discrimination and to inspire and empower us all to take action for equality and inclusivity.

The theme for 2023 is #EmbraceEquity.

This year, we interviewed members of staff from across the organisation about what it’s like to work in male-dominated sectors, what it takes to succeed, why women’s empowerment and gender equality is important and whether they feel women are equal to men in business. #EmbraceEquity.

  • As a woman what do you see as your responsibility to ensure there is diversity in leadership roles?

  • Are women effective leaders?  Can you give examples of who you admire and why?

  • Why is women’s empowerment and gender equality important to you? Do you feel women are equal to men in business if not why not?

  • For women working in a male dominated industry, what does it take to thrive and succeed? Should women think more like a man?

  • If a women's empowerment movement is to be effective and drive change what would inspire you to follow them and why?
